Green Steps: Simple Acts for a Cleaner Planet

The planet is the home of all humanity and we are privileged to lend our humble backs to do what we can for it. September is National Clean-Up Month, serving as a reminder for us all to lend a hand in protecting the environment with small actions that have significant positive changes. We go through four simple activities that can keep the world clean and green, and even motivate others to make them a part of their lifestyle too.

Picking Up Trash: Small Actions, Big Impact The path to a better and more clean planet involves dealing with the waste that lies within it. Picking up trash, arguably one of the simplest yet most powerful ways you can give back to Mother Nature. Crappy stuff found in the great outdoors, city streets, along beaches or anywhere ELSE,that can and would become pollution going in our water source(s), harming/irking everything else within said waters. This act not only beautifies our environment but create a social sense of community responsibility.

Watering Plants. One plant pledge at a time for life nurturing the environment watering the plants etc. The healthier plants are, the more disease and pest resilient they will be in your garden, park or shared spaces. Healthy plants, we are told, absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen and purify our breathing air.

Growing Plants: Replenishing Our Natural World Among one of the most enjoyable means a person can do for the setting is planting new trees as well as plants. This translates as to contributing back more of Earth´s green, returning natural habitats and helping clean the air and support biodiversity. Its power to absorb CO₂ and reduce climate change makes one of the most effective ways to save trees for environmental conservation. The development of such open spaces helps build the green lungs of the earth for future generations as you start planting into fertile soils.

Joining Ecological Events: Honoring Sustainability Getting your hands dirty by having them wet, or gathering for ecological activities like a trashion show (a fashion event with costumes made out of needlework) could help in promoting sustainability. These are examples that shed light on not only the literal beauty in trash, but also show how form and function combine with sustainability to make our environment look good. We remind others of the ways in which they can partake in or witness these activities, to inspire them towards a more sustainable world.

It is a shared obligation to save nature and, often small deeds go a long way. Collecting trash, watering plants, planting trees and involving yourself in eco-friendly activities would have a lasting impact. This National Clean-Up Month, continue to find ways for a causer planet with a healthier environment.

My Journey of Growth and Discovery (Reflection)

I basically learned so much in such different areas had quite an eye opening experience throughout the first quarter of the year. I learned how to problem solve differently, how to think critically and how to interact with others better. All these experiences made me learn a lot of new things, grew up technically, and personally, I got curious to explore the stuff which usually doesn't get my attention.

But the path wasn't easy. I was overwhelmed by time management of many assignments at once to learning to find the right ways to learn and it could not grasp some concepts. The constant pressure to have everything under control at the same time while performing well due to the short deadlines often made me feel overwhelmed. There were times I battled distractions and keeping a routine was difficult.

Indeed, in coping with these challenges, I reverted to effective time management practices; such as adopting a study schedule and deconstructing tasks into smaller bite-sized objectives. I also went to my peers for help whenever I got stuck on something. Overcoming these roadblocks and improving my time… it was the time I spent pouring over the difficult topics, and having patience with myself.

Moving on, I am learning to further perfect my time management and be more forthcoming when it comes to asking for help. However, I want to be organized and ensure a balance between work and relaxation so that I am capable of meeting the demands of my academic life as well as my personal life. More than anything, I strive to tackle new challenges head first with a positive outlook and approach things as if — no, because it was written in my plan from the beginning.

Celebrating the Heroes Who Shape Our Future

A good teacher can inspire, hope, ignite the imagination, and instill love of learning. That is exactly the way we feel teachers have molded our destinies and made us what we are today. Teachers Day reminds us of the sacrifices and care that which a teacher does throughout the year. Together4Teachers is the title given this year because it acknowledges teachers, who are pride and the backbone of prosperity in our society.

Educators are so much more than just teachers. They are teachers, role models, and oftentimes life coaches helping their students navigate the intricacies of academic and personal growth. A silent warrior to make students achieve their dreams and become doctors, engineers, artists, or leaders. Teachers from the first taught, to them walking on stage and getting their diploma, teachers are always gonna stand behind and push forward.

But being a teacher is not easy. Unfortunately, it can also be quite difficult for teachers, as they struggle to manage mixed classrooms and keep up-to-date with new research in education and technology. However, they are trying their best to deliver what the student needs in order to succeed and flourish in this world. This persistence is absolutely impressive and shows how the human spirit can be stronger than circumstances.
